Conflict of interest is where your own private interests’ conflicts with those of the organization. As a staff member you are supposed to Excuse yourself from any decision making that may create conflict with your private interests.
Disclosure is in writing through filling of the Conflict-of-interest declaration form.
- Do not allow relationships with suppliers to influence decisions.
- Refrain from direct use or allowing use of hospital property for anything other than officially approved activities.
- Do not get involved in the hire, supervision management or career planning of any relative.
- Shall not make improper use of position or of confidential information gained in that position to achieve personal interests or direct gain.
- Shall not participate in tender for supply of services to the hospital.
