KNH Prime Care Center (KPCC) has an inpatient unit located on the 9th and 10th floors of the hospital’s Tower block with 224 beds.
It includes a Critical Care Unit (CCU), High-Dependency Unit (HDU), maternity, general wards, single rooms, VIP en suite rooms, private rooms, medical wards and surgical wards.
There are various inpatient services offered:
Normal delivery
1. 3 days general bed ward service inclusive of specialists charges
2. Normal ward procedures and consumables to include sanitary pads, basin, towel
3. Labour ward charges
4. One paediatrician visit
5. Initial child immunization as per KEPI schedule (BCG, Hepatitis B & Polio)
6. Pain medication in the ward and at discharge
7. Advice & support for breastfeeding by our team of lactation experts
Caesarean section
1. Laboratory tests i.e. grouping and cross match haemogram urea, electrolytes and creatinine.
2. 4 days general ward service inclusive of obstetrician charges
3. Normal ward procedures and consumables to include sanitary pads, basin, towel
4. Operating theatre service, medication and anaesthetic services
5. One ward visit by a paediatrician including receiving of the baby in the operating theatre
6. Initial child immunization as per KEPI schedule (BCG, Hepatitis B & Polio)
7. Pain medication in the ward and at discharge
8. Advice & support for breastfeeding by our team of lactation experts
We have a Lactation lounge for breastfeeding mothers.

The KPCC Mental Health Ward is open for admission for staff & the public. The 7-bed inpatient ward is fully equipped to serve both male and female patients.
