Members of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) led by their President, Mr. Cesar Garrido today visited KNH to engage in the collaboration on hemophilia management(A condition in which the ability of blood to clot is reduced causing severe bleeding from even a slight injury)
KNH_hospital team led by Dir. Medical Services- Dr. William Sigilai took the guests round to the Special Hematology Lab and Parasitology Lab to check on the progress of their operations in managing Hemophilia.
” We are grateful to the KNH team for facilitating the circumcision of hemophilia patients in March,2022″ said Mr. Garrido.
Dr. Sigilai thanked the team for their effort to support the hospital in the management of Hemophilia.
WFH through Ms. Angela Forsth wrapped up the visit with a series of donations including; goniometers, tape measures, kinesiology tapes, theraband, braces, splints and coban/stretch wraps
A CME (Continuous Medical Education)on recent advances to hemophilia management was also presented to physiotherapy staff.
