Dr. Evanson N. Kamuri, CBS is a distinguished figure in the medical field, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), a role he assumed in October 2019 after over two decades of dedicated service within the institution. His journey at KNH began years ago, where he held various pivotal positions, including Director of the KNH Prime Care Centre and Director of Affiliation and Institutional Development.
Professionally, Dr. Kamuri is renowned as a Chief Medical Specialist in Dermatology, holding a Master of Science in Medicine (Dermatology) alongside a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). His academic prowess extends further with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management, demonstrating his commitment to both medical excellence and effective leadership.He is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Governance.
Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Kamuri’s influence transcends borders. He serves as the President of the African Society of Dermatology and Venereology, advocating for advancements and collaboration within the field. Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman of the Kenya Association of Dermatologists, further solidifying his leadership in national medical initiatives.

Additionally, he was bestowed Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear and Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear for his exceptional service and dedication to the nation.
