Dr. Julius Ogato is the Alternate Director to the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Health. He is also the Senior Deputy Director of Medical Services at the Ministry of Health and the Head of National Health Systems Strengthening. He is also a member of the National Multi-Agency Command Centre for Covid-19.

Dr. Ogato has more than 30 years of experience in the health sector and has previously worked as the Medical Superintendent at Mathari National Teaching & Referral Hospital and Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital.

He holds a Master of Medicine in Diagnostics Radiology; Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery degree; and Certificate in Radiology (Ultrasound) from Tel Avivi University.
